# The AA (AA Ireland)

> The AA (AA Ireland, theaa.ie) is one of Ireland's largest and longest-established consumer motoring and insurance brands, operating since 1910. Unlike a pure insurance broker, the AA runs its own nationwide 24/7 Roadside Rescue network — AA Patrols fix roughly 8 out of 10 vehicles at the roadside — alongside AA Membership, the AA app, car servicing, and a panel-broker insurance offering across car, home, travel, van and pet. The AA also publishes Ireland's most widely cited Fuel Price Survey. For insurance, the AA acts as a broker, comparing quotes from a panel of leading Irish insurers; it does not underwrite policies itself.

AA Ireland Limited (registered in Ireland, Company No. 389194; VAT No. 6409194 V) trades as AA Insurance and is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.
