AA Ireland is looking for a new Junior Researcher to join the Roadwatch team.
This position is ideal for a third-level student interested in obtaining experience in radio and research work. The Roadwatch newsroom is an exciting, fast-paced environment, so the role requires a capable team player with the ability to work well under pressure and excellent communication skills.
This is a part-time role (about 15-20 hours per week), primarily research-based, with some broadcast shifts. It will involve shift work β mainly at the weekends and during the evening, but may also include Monday-to-Friday rush hour shifts (6am-9:30am and 4pm-7pm), depending on the college timetable and availability of the successful candidate.
Shifts will be split between working from home and working from our offices in Dublin city centre.
Applicants would ideally have previous journalism/broadcast experience/qualification and a genuine interest in radio and research work.
If you are interesting in working with us, send a CV and a 30 second demo of a mock traffic report by e-mail to roadwatchjob@gmail.com. (They do not have to be broadcast quality β a phone recording is fine). Traffic reports only – news demos will not be accepted.
Closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 13th November 2020. Only applications complete with CV and traffic demo will be considered.
