April AA Fuel Survey: Fuel and EV Costs Remain Stable
- Petrol: Holds steady at an average of €1.80 per litre
- Diesel: Unchanged at an average of €1.77 per litre
- EV Costs: No change from last month
The AA Ireland Fuel Survey for April shows no fluctuation in fuel prices, with petrol and diesel remaining consistent for a second consecutive month. EV running costs have also remained unchanged following last month’s drop.
Elena Leao, Marketing & PR at AA Ireland, noted, “While we’re not seeing any increases this month, prices remain relatively high compared to earlier in the year. That makes it even more important for drivers to stay savvy and adopt fuel-efficient habits that help keep costs manageable.”
AA Members can continue to save 3c per litre on petrol and diesel and 6c per litre on milesPlus fuel at selected Circle K stations by using the AA Ireland App.
Leao also pointed out that steady EV costs are a positive for electric drivers. “Although there’s been no change in EV costs this month, the savings compared to traditional fuel remain attractive. Drivers who make use of off-peak charging and tailored electricity plans can continue to keep their running costs low.”
