Main category winners can come from any new car on sale, regardless of when it was released, to give consumers a good view of what the jury views as the best cars on sale in their categories, with the overall winner coming from cars released leading up to the start of the 2023 car market (October 2022 to October 2023).

The 2nd AA Ireland Car Awards took place on October 6th 2023. AA Ireland Car Awards bring together Ireland’s foremost motoring journalists from a range of nationally recognised media outlets across print, web and video, to help consumers choose the best new cars.

AA Ireland invited the best motoring journalists in Ireland, from the top-selling and most respected media outlets, to vote for what will be, in their view, Ireland’s best cars across a variety of categories, including three electric vehicle categories.
