Plenty of musical entertainment this weekend in Dublin with The O2 the venue to head along to. Billy Joel will perform on Friday night followed by Brit Floyd on Saturday night. Doors open at 6:30pm and delays are likely on North Wall Quay, on East Wall Rd and over the East Link. Don’t forget you can take the Luas Red Line to The O2 also.
But if it’s a musical you’re after this weekend, West Side Story is on at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre on both Friday and Saturday night. Doors open at 6:30pm and expect delays on Macken St.
Looking to the PRO 12 action, both Connacht and Munster have home games on Saturday evening. Connacht will play Glasgow Warriors at the Galway Sportsground at 5pm, bringing heavy traffic to College Rd. In Limerick City, Munster take on the Ospreys at 7:15pm in Thomond Park. A Garda cordon will be in place from around 4pm onwards; diversions will operate and delays are likely.
Need some purls of knitting wisdom? The Knitting and Stitching Show is taking place at the RDS until Sunday. Expect traffic to be busy through Ballsbridge.
For all the race goers, there’s racing taking place at Dundalk Racecourse on Friday. On Sunday, there’s racing at Cork Racecourse in Mallow and at Leopardstown Racecourse.
All and all a busy weekend ahead of us and you can keep up to date with the latest travel news on aaroadwatch.ie or follow @aaroadwatch.
